How Departure time dectates our rebirth??

The pivotal point of Bhagavadgita  is "Punarjanma siddhanth ".
Birth, Death and rebirth are inevitable, says Gita.
             " Jathasyahi dhruvO mruthyuhu,
               DhruvO Janma Mruthasyacha "
Once born, has to die some day or the other. This is an Inevitable principle of Life.

But, is there any particular time and mode, in which if a Jeevi departs, can  avoid the  rebirth?
This time of Departure has a great role in our " theory of Punarjanma ".
In Aksharaparabrahma Yoga, 24th,&25th slokas explain  us in detail about the favourable  time of departure for a yogi. Departing the body is as important as acquiring the body.
Departing time decides the abode whereas acquiring time decides ur entire Life.
Here, even the mode of death is also plays important role in ur attainment and rebirth, that is
Explained in these two slokas.

Agni JyOthi rahaha suklaha shaNmAsa uttarAyaNam
Thathra prayAthA gachchanthi Brahma  brahmhavidO janAha

Fire, flame, day time, the bright half of a month, and six months of Sun's northern course---
Departing in one of these modes, and anyone of these times, the yogi attains Brahman.

Dhumo rAthri Sthadha krishNaha shaNmAsa DakshiNayaNam
                    Thathra chAndramasam jyOthiryOgi prApya nivarthathE

Smoke, night, the dark half of the month and the six months of the Sun's southern passage---
Departing  by one of these modes, and anyone of these times, the yogi  attains the lunar sphere
And returns back to earth.

These two paths of the world, the bright and the dark are considered to be ancient
and eternal.
                                 "UjjannEvam sadathmAnAm yogi vigatha kalmashaha
                                   SukhEna Brahma Samsparsham AtmAnam sukhamasnuthe."

Yogi, who is always in contemplation, taintless, blissful  and knowing this secret of time
of departure, should think about departing in bright time, and bright path.
There is one standing example of Bhishma pithamaha's death, in Mahabharath.
Bhishma, the great grand father, who remained a life time bachelor for the sake of Kuruvamsh, was killed by Arjuna in the Kurukshethra war,in wrong time, ie Sun's southern passage. But, the grand old seer, Bhishma knows the sacred secret of this departing time.
Bhishma  was a Brahma GnAni. He can have" IchchamaraNa",he can leave his body whenever
he wants to.  So, he asked Arjuna to make a cot with arrows, and  laid on that till UttarayaNa puNyakal entered. When Sun's northern course entered, Bhishma left his body and attained
the supreme abode. Bhishma attained Moksha.
Atma aliening with Paramatma depends on the time and mode of departing the body.
May be the Jeeva, which is the sole entity, which sustains the entire universe along with entire living bodies is very powerful in Sun's northern course and first half of the month. So powerful
that, an embodied self can escape the lunar sphere and reach the heavenly spheres.
Similarly, brighter side of the day , fire, and, light  elevate the embodied self to higher Devine levels.
Sometimes, all these concepts of Gita appear to me as pure Metaphysics,  pure science rather
than  spiritual guide lines.  Doctrines of Bhagavadgita are higher level scientific principles, which are guiding and guarding the universe.,maintaining the rhythm of the entire creation.

THOUGH I READ GITA HUDREDS OF TIMES, STILL, WHENEVER I READ, I FEEL SOMETHING
NEW IN IT AND YET I FEEL, A LOT HIDDEN UNKOWN SECRETS LEFT IN IT.
THE SPECIALITY OF Gita is, the more u churn, the more butter u get off it.

The Magic of ThriguNas.

Human nature, personality and actions are dectated by thriguNas. What are they??
Satva, Rajas, Thamas  are the thriguNas. Each guN provokes different traits in us. These traits prompt different thoughts, which ultimately direct us towards actions.
So, our mind is guided by these Satva, Rajas, thamO guNas .
All living beings are puppets in the hands of  thriguNas.
Only Almighty is absolutely bereft  of ThriguNas.  God is "GuNatheethha." NirGuNaha."
The Supreme Mind is  neutral in nature. This is called ParamBhavam. Absence of Duel Nature
Is named Param Bhavam.
How this Bhava generator, Mind is dectated by ThriguNas ??
How Mind behaves like a slave to these three guNas??
How these three guNas bind the Soul to the body??

Satva binds the embodied self by stainlessness and purity. Satvic people enjoy cheerfulness
producedd by knowledge, they enjoy the serenity of flawless thoughts. As Satva prevails, glow
envelops  the body, which, people around u feel. When through all the sence-openings in this body, the light of knowledge  radiates, then one should know that Satva is predominating.

RajoguNa binds the embodied self by attachment, Rajas is the source of desire, action and attachment.  Ego centred  behaviour, with aggression, and  overpowering attitude is the sign of
RajoguNa. Greed, restlessness, never ending activity, passion for desires prevail, when Rajas
predominates.

ThamoguNa binds the embodied self by inactivity, inadvertence and delusion. Ignorance in every aspect of life is the result of ThamasaguNa. Mindless behaviour, dullness, and delusion
prevails when ThamasaguNa predominates.

From Satva results knowledge, from Rajas results greed, from ThAmas nothing but ignorance.
Transcending guNas is very very difficult , because our behaviour is bound to our guNas.
Always, one should guard himself from Rajas and Thamas, because these two only destroy the
virtues in anyone. When rajasica, thamasica guNas are subdued to Satva guNa, virtues excel in him and  one enjoys the Bliss of peace. Equanimity establishes and one feels fit for the state of Brahman.
The impact of GuNas at the time of Departure desides,to  where our  soul reaches.
Those who abide in Satva  go to higher spheres, the Rajasika reaches only middle spheres, but the Thamasika, abiding lowest qualities reaches the lowest spheres and resorts to animal womb. But, one who knows 'That'which is beyond ThriguNas, attains Brahman.
Hence, those wishing the Ultimate abode,  should adhere to Sathva guNa, while dedicating himself totally to Almighty.    Almighty will take care of everything.

How come  we know weather a person transcended these three GuNas  or not??
What are the characteristics of a person, transcended  the thriguNas??
A mental calmness, composure, evenness towards pleasure and pain, same temper in honour and dishonour, same towards friend and foe, same towards likes and dislikes, same towards blame
and praise, same feel towards gold and stone, self control , renouncing the results of actions are the characteristics of a person who transcended the thriguNas.
Is this state of mind possible to achieve? Lord Sri Krishna Paramatma answers this question.
"He who serves Me alone through unswerving devotion can definitely transcend  the thriguNas, as I bless him with Special intellectual power."
"  Dadami buddhi yOgam thum Mamupayanthithe "

By birth we all carry these thriguNas, starting from the womb of mother,  binding our self to this
body. Maya, which is constituted by these thriguNas covers us, guides our actions, defines our
nature. But,only and the only unswerving devotion towards God  can rescue us from this Devine delusion(maya) prepares for Self realisation.
When Satva concurred Rajas, and thamas, the veil Mohamaya lifted, entire Universe appears differently,; every thing in this  universe  looks united....says Gita.
                        Thribhir guNamayeir bhavairebhihi sarwamidam Jagath
                    Mohitham nabhijAnAthi mamE bhyaha paramavyayam
The mystic Moha maya  comprised of magical thriguNas is  running the entire world show.
Gita, the Brahma vidya, the eternal universal religion, thus ,preaches us in GuNathrayavibhaga yoga, how to overcome the thriguNas and how to experience the Supreme bliss.   " Be always with me, always think me ,always mind me, u will transcend the guNas." Lord Krishna.

When and why, the Unmanifest Manifests???

It is a well known fact that Almighty is invisible and everywhere.
When an ordent Bhaktha is in danger or when unrighteousness outbursts,to save the
Rightuos people from misery, to establish the righteousness,Almighty takes a form, means Manifests. . God, when manifests, taking a human form, we call that an AvatAr. A very interesting anecdote from SrimadbhAgavatham goes like this.......this story narrates, how lord  Hari took NarasimhavatAr.  There was a prince
 named PrahlAda, a child Hari Bhakta.When his father questioned him about the existence of Sri Hari, he answered his father,"My dear father, Hari(god) is everywhere.;
search anywhere, you will definitely find Him". Hiranyakasyapa, a notorious king of
Rakshasas, a heartless cruel father of PrahlAda,more over a Sri Hari's enemy, asks his son to show Lord Hari in the Pillor straight infront of him. This is a disgusting challenge given to his own son. Smiling at the innocence of his father, PrahlAda  prays Lord Hari to appear before his father. Immediately Lord appears taking a form of fiercefull   Lionheaded NArasimha and kills Hiranyakasyapa. God always rescues his Bhakta, because the power of Bhakti pulls God towards Bhakta.
Yo mam pasyathi sarvathra sarvacha  mayi pasyathi
Whosoever  worships me, will always remain in my glance.
In gnAnayoga, Sri Krishna Paramatma tells Arjuna, when?,under what  inevitable
Circumstances  ParamAtmA takes an AvatAr.

                                 Yadha yadhahi dharmasya glanirbhavathi Bharatha
                                  Abhuddhana madharmasya thadAtmAnam srujAmyaham

Arjuna! Whenever, righteousness is on decline, unrighteousness  excels everywhere,
I take a form {body} Myself,and establish Rightuousness.

                           ParithrANaya sAdhunAm vinyasa yachadushkrutham
                            Dharma samsthApanArdhAya sambhavAmi  ugE ugE

7th sloka in gnAnayoga tells, what for Lord manifests.
For the sake of protecting virtuous people, and to establish (dharma ),Righteousness, I take a body age to age ,and destroy the evil people.
How does Almighty, takes an avatAr.?

                                  AjopisannavyaAtma BhuthAnam Eswaropi sanu
                             Prakrutim swAmadhistAya sambhavAmyAtma MAyayA

5th sloka in gnAnayoga  explains like this.........
Though birth less and deathless, being The Lord of beings, Ancient, with the help of Prakrithi and yoga maya, I manifest myself. Here,Prakrithi includes five elements. maya composed of Satva ,rajas, thamo  guNas. ParamAtma, along with thriguNas and five elements and it's own powers manifests  as AvatAr. After establishing Dharma and Eradicating adharma, Bhagavan ends His Avatar.
In Dwapara Uga as Sri Krishna, in ThrEthA Uga as Sri RAma, Lord  manifested and
Killed the evil, unrighteous Rakshasas, saved the innocent. When an  AvatAr ends, New era starts.
Sri Krishna, Sri Rama, Sri VAmana, Sri Buddha are all Uga Purushas.
It is said that ,Similarly, in Kaliuga, Paramatma appears in Kalkavatar to eradite evil
from the world.
Only, when  unrighteousness reaches to intolerable levels,  almighty comes down on to earth and saves us. Equanimity  and nature's equilibrium are in Supreme commander's control.  God maintains the  melody and rhythm of this entire Univerce .He composes the great symphony, this  universe. He plays it , enjoys it, and erases.
The Manifestation of the Unmanifest is highly mystic and Extraordinaryly  Devine.

What is Atma???

                               MayAtatamidam sarvam jagadavyakta murtinam
                               Masthani sarva bhutani nachAham theshwavasthithaha

                Nachamasthani bhutani pasyamE yogameswaram
                Bhutabhrunnacha bhuthastho mama atma bhutabhavanaha.

In the above mentioned two slokas of Rajavidyarajaguhya yoga, Atma is defined  clearly.

All this Univerce ,is pervaded by Me in anUnmanifested form;  all beings are in me, but I am not in them. Nor these beings suspended in Me behold My  Devine nature. I am ATMA, The sustainer  and the protector of beings, and the generator of  thoughts.
Where from thought generate??  ..........From Mind.
What sustains and protects the beings??..........Jeeva.   So,Jeevatma is the embodied Self.
Therefore,  the all pervading Unmanifest, the Supreme Self is Atma, the same when embodied
Is  Jeevatma.

"  Ajo nithyaha sashwathoyam purANo na HanyathE  HanyamAnE  shareerE."

Atma is birth less, constant, eternal, and ancient..It is not slain when the body is slain.
Atma is birthless means, atma is there, existing from time immemorarable, from time beyond our count. Henceforth  Atma is obviously ancient, and permanent too. As I mentioned,
In my previous blogs, my interpretation of Atma is an exceptionally, extordinarily, supernatural,
Indescribable, superspecial Magnetic field of features beyond human perception. Those sages and siddhas, who witnessed Atma say, That is unexplainable and beyond mind and speech. How special Atma is described by Lord Krishna in Sankhya yoga, ( 2nd chapter) in 23rd sloka.

Neinam chindanthi sastraNi neinam dahathi pavakaha
Na cheinam  klEdayanthyApo na soshayathi maruthaha...

Weapons cannot cut it, fire does not burn it, water cannot moisten it, and wind cannot dispatch it.  So, Atma is beyond five elements' influence, with which we mortals, on this planet are surviving while running the show. But, when the same Self resides inside a  living being, it has to behold the Nature of  these five elements [earth, water! fire, wind and space] along with mind,  intellect and accumulated results of karma. That's why That is named  Jeevatma. ( Atma in a Jeevi )
When  Jeevatma leaves a body and enters the new one, carries the nature of that embodied self with it.  But That will not perish. All this costume changeover is not visible to us.
So, Atma is said to be Unmanifest, Unthinkable, indestructible, and Eternal, Invisible.

Vishnusahasranamam   Praises the different characteristics of Atma.
Putatma, Ameyathma,Dhrutatma, Visrutatma, Prasannatma, prakasatma, Vruddharma,EkAtma
Anantatma, Visuddhatma, Thrilokatma, Jeevatma, Paramatma, ViswAtma are the different qualitative names  of Atma. Meaning of these names in order goes like this.....
Atma  is...
Ancient, not comparable to anything , permanent, ever Expanding, cheerful, bright like light,
Old, only one unit, infinite, absolutely Pure, Spead in Thrilokas,  Embodied self, Supreme Self, and all pervading the Universe.....
All above mentioned virtues of Atma are attributed to Lord Vishnu,in Vishnu sahasranamam.
These Devine Spiritual attributes are not apparent when Atma adopts a visible form..and acts
as embodied self.
                              DEhi nithyam-avadhyoyam DEhE sarvasya  bharatha
This embodied self in everyone's body eternally indestructible. So Death should not be grieved.
All living beings must abide this Unmanifest  Atma. This is the eternal, immutable ancient principle with Which the entire creation is existing.
The supreme commander, with supreme Mind, and supreme Cosciousness,
The supreme intelligence with supreme knowledge and perception,
The supreme power with supreme attraction and  beholding nature,
The all pervading invisible witness, supreme controller, knowerof past, present, future,
The formless which can take any form,  the supreme Protector , the Life Force,
The unperishable, unexplainable , wonderful  Devine  existance which resides in the
Hearts of all beings, is Atma.
The all in one Devine Super natural Existance is Atma.
This extensive  interpretation of Atma, May not be still sufficient because, those who have seen that experience many more things extra.  Whatever may Gita say, one thing is absolutely true.ie  Atma is totally mystic and  Devine.

Presence of Paramatma in our body.

T                   Ahamatma Gudakesaha sarvabhuthasaya sthiti aha
                   Ahamadischa madyascha BhuthAnamanthaEvacha

The above sloka is said by Lord Sri Krishna  in vibhuthiyoga,
Oh Arjuna I am the universal self ( ViswAthama ),seated in the hearts of all beings. I alone am beginning, middle and also the end of all beings.
Paramatma is the Supreme Self , pervading entire universe  as a Devine  inconceivable super natural entity resembling a mystic magnetic field.  The place where Paramatma resides in the body is Heart. This is crystal clearly mentioned In the above sloka.

" Sarvasyachaham Hrudi sannivishtaha" says Krishns.  This means.....
" I stay in the Heart of every body.,""As Mind, the generator of thoughts and as consciousness.
Whereas, Paramatma  is Supreme self and Supreme consciousness.

                   Anadithva nirgunathwat paramatmaya mavyayaha
Sareerasthopi KownthEyA! na karothi na lipyathe

Arjuna! The Supreme Spirit [ Paramatma ] is ancient, thrigunarahitha! indestructible, and
Unexhausting. Though dwells in everybody, neither contaminates nor acts. Remains a witness.
Then what makes us to react and act??  What reacts??
Moha maya constituted by Satva, rajah, thamo guNas forces us to react and act.
Jeevatma reacts and acts according to the Karma of the embodied soul. I have written in one of my Blogs my interpretation of this Atma,Jeevatma and Paramatma. The Atma when spread everywhere out side the body is Paramatma, but
The same when inside the  body  is Jeevatma. Though the physical format is same for both,
Functional format  is different.
Jeevatma confines to that single embodied soul, the body in which it stays.Maya binds  Jeevatma.
Paramatma  concerns and confines to entire universe.
Maya, the Devine illusion is extremely difficult to surmount, however, those who constantly think or adore Lord alone can break the veil. They can realise the resplendent light [supreme Atma ].

"  Jyothishamapi that jyothhi".  Paramathma is Light only, Jyothirupaha.
In KshEthra kshethragna vibhaga yoga, the presence and performance of Paramatma
Is clearly explained in two slokas.

                       Yadha sarvagatham sowkshmyadakasam nopalipyatE.
                        Sarvathravasthitho DEhE thadaatma nopalipyatE
As all pervading emptispace does'nt adhere us, similarly seated everywhere in the bodyAtma is not affected. Remains onlooker.

                       Yadha prakashayathEkaha krutsnam lokamimam ravihi
KshEthram  Kshetri thadaa krutsnam Prakasayati Bharata.
O Arjuna! As one Sun-illumines this entire world,so the one Atma illumines the whole
Body.  This sloka conforms that the physical format of Atma is nothing else than Bright light.
In 18th chapter, once again Krishna reiterates a fact that God exists in the Hearts of all beings.

                        Eswaraha sarva BhuthAnam HruddEsorjuna thishtathi
                         BhrAmayansarva bhutani YantrarUdhani  MayayA.
O Arjuna! God abides in the heart of all creatures, causing them to revolve according to their
Karma by his Devine illusion, as if those beings are in the vehicle of the body.
God is within our body, with us ,but we are not aware of it. We are not feeling His presence.
Our body is a Temple, God is here in it. Watching us. Witnessing our acts.
Let us keep the temple clean, let us worship Him doing Jap, Thap, let us adore Him with the
incandescent  acts. Thus, let us transform ourself to pure souls, absolutely pure. Let us replicate Godliness.   Let us feel   Aham brahmasmi.
So, ultimately Paramatma and Jeevatma align when one becomes absolutely pure.
[ pure in thought, word, and action.] this is called" Brahmi sthiti" .

Let all of us realise the presence of Paramatma in side ourself and experience the
Spiritual Enlightenment.
