Selflessness is godliness

It is so wonderful to think that all this creation of God is done at his thought of  Sankalpa and it is much more amazing to think that this world in which we live is his gift to all of us. Does God do all this creation expecting back any returns.  All his acts are Selflesss. Actually everything happens as a matter of fact in this universe.

" Bhutha Bharthrucha Thath GnEyam grasishnu prabhavishnu cha "

Lord says "Na karothi na lipyathi". , means  neither He acts nor attaches to this entire creation which is going on continuously, uninterruptedly.
The same nature of God should be adopted by any seeker of spiritual upliftment,;if any body wants Gods' grace, they should try to copy the nature God. Of course, the Unmanifest 's inconceivable nature is impossible to imitate, but this aspect of sacrificing the actions in the fire of Selflessness is possible for everybody.
As a nonstop beat at a single point sends the ripples of vibrations to  entire universe, one single simple practice of selfless action spreads the vibrations of purity into the entire universe connecting to the Devine.

"Karmaphalasangam Thyakthva ",resigning the results of the actions done, if an aspirent (of spiritual upliftment)  lives contented life, thinking work as his duty, it is certain that he becomes Godly.
Do  prescribed work without concentrating on its'results. Then your entire totalconcentration brings very good results.
Donate any thing, do any charity without expecting the appreciation or rewards. That charity is called truly selfless. We should never boost by saying we have done this and that. That degrades the personality, puts down in God's looks.
'I' is a such a dangerous syllable which kills the Modesty and Humility of even greatest person. "I" can pull down anybody to ground levels from great heights.
One who works without the ego of " I" (Aham ) becomes Brahman.

The below given sloka in Dhyana yoga preaches what I said above.
Develop a selfless pravrutthi (nature ), perform your duties disinterestedly, lead a composed contented life., which is dear to God.

" Thyakthva Karmaphalaasangam nithya thruptho  nirashrayaha
                           Karmanyabhi pravrutthopi neiva kinchitch  karothisaha"

He, who is selfless in his actions remains devoid of attachment to the results.
As his mind is free from the expectations of his actions, establishes in only the knowledge resulted out of his actions. His entire actions melt away in the fire of knowledge emanated from them. He who does work as a sacrifice for Lord,  with a selfless attitude gets Lords' grace,. And over a period of time,by continuing the same selfless attitude towards his actions, becomes detached to the worldly attachments. Then he changes to a pure Mind, resembling God. No one can totally resemble Godly nature.

                            "Gathasangasya mukthasya gnaanavasthithachethasaha
                             Yagnaayaacharathaha  karma samagram  pravaleeyathe"

Selflessness  means without self consciousness, it does not mean without consciousness. Any body if sincerely wants to progress in spiritual line, he/she should consciously do his /her duties without any selfishness. It should become a
Characteristic of ones' charector.  This imple behavioural change will do miracles in ones' life, while changing one similar to Devine.

Selfishness turns one greedy, greed changes one to sinner, sinner becomes demoniac  not to Devine.  Hence, selfless service should become the slogan of every
Spiritual aspirent.   This desipline of selflessness takes one towards the Devine lines.
There is no doubt in it.

Selflessness is Devinity, Devine is selfless.
Selflessness is  Godliness , God is selfless.

Positive energy is God

The spiritual definition of God is Paramatma.
Paramatma is nothing but, the all pervading  positive energy., all spread light, all expanding Devine Magnetic electric field,.

The omnipresent ( sarva sthitha ),omni potent (sarvagnaha ) Almighty pocesses  all
Positive qualities only. God is supremely perfect and pure in all characteristics.
Supreme intelligence ( Maha buddhi ), supreme strength ( maha veeryo), supreme energy( maha sakthi ), supreme brightness ( maha dhyuthi), supreme knowledge (sarvagnaha ), supreme consciousness ( Paramathma ),the ultimate of actions (maha karma), the ultimate truth (parama sathya) are all, the supreme qualities of God, which superate a human from Devine.
Though God dwells in every human being , why we are not called Gods?? Because, we are not behaving GODLY. We are not exhibiting the behaviour of that Supreme Mind. God resides in the heart of every human., this is clearly mentioned in the " Purushotthama prapti yoga", as given in the below  sloka.

                     Sarvasyachaham Hrudi sannivishtaha.
A pure mind pocesses all pure characteristics like.............
Pure thoughts, self control, truthfulness, absence of anger, tranquility, modesty, kindness, forgiveness, composure etc etc. Those who include all these qualities in there behaviour will surely exhibit positive behaviour. The positive energy constituted by their pure behaviour surrounds the person with a bright  aura which silently impresses anybody whosoever comes into that arena. Positive energy helps one to do actions in a successful  manner.
A good behaviour, a pure heart, produces great amounts of positive energies in anybody. Positive energies prompt one towards good, truthful actions. Good actions result good consequences. Good consequences of good actions once again enhance
And rejuvenate the positive energies. This is a cycle of positive behaviour and positive energies.
Positive mind emanates positive thoughts, positive thoughts to positive actions,
Positive actions to positive energies.
One has to introspect ones' behaviour periodically and acess whether he/she is in right track or not, so that positive energies remain preserved.

The prime preaching of Gita is nothing else than "Dharma varthana".ie Truthful behaviour. This is what a person needs to lead a successful life.
This is what a society needs to construct a prosperous country.
Life is not single , life is collective.

Spiritual practices

Spiritual  practices are very very important in ones' daily life to fix mind on God.
Any practice should be persued  regularly, with consistency. There are many ways to
Follow to progress in the line of Spirituality.why? What is the necessity  to practice
Spiritual means??
Yes. Definetly , one must adopt some or the other way of Spirituality to experience peace of mind and Devine presence. Ultiimately , what everybody wants is, peaceof mind ,to lead their life happily.
Peace of mind comes only to calm and composed mind. Agitated minds cannot
Enjoy whatever they have. Agitated minds can not enter the spiritual arena.

Different spiritual practices are followed by different people, to realise the
Devine.  Temple services, services to humanity, puja ( worshipping  ), bhajan sankeethan, meditation, serving the saints & elderly persons, gnandaan etc etc are
Few of the some Spiritual  Practices.

Temple services, include organising the puja items, organising the puja, distributing the Prasad to the devotees, cleaning the puja items etc etc are all activities which indulge ones' mind in performing puja. Worshipping god daily, with Bhakti  takes one to the highest platform of Gods' realisation.;which ever deity may one worship, whichever  format may one adopt in worshipping ,that should be done with total faith and dedication. Then only , that worship materialises and helps the worshiper to realise God.

The Simplest  spiritual practice is, serving humanity without selfish motives, leads one close to God. Actions of a selfless mind  are equal to the Actions of God." Nirapeksha "is the sole
Essence of  spiritual persuits. A selfless mind resembles  The  Supreme Mind. So, a selfless
Persons' actions link him to Supreme mind, ie God. Helping educational institutions by donating
Funds to help the poor  students, donating the free  medical services to the needy, poor patients, are some services to humankind which can guide one towards attaining the bliss of
Supreme purity.

Participating in bhajan sankeethan , takes one to the state of  trance, which changes an ordinary mind to a blissful Mind. Usually bhajans include praising phrases of Lord in different forms.By singing the bhajans or by listening them one drives himself into the ocean of Devine
Blissfulness, which one can only experience , which cannot be explained. One thing we all have
to keep in our mind, In this spiritual world is its' invisible presence of  Divinity. Bhajan sankeethan  enhances Bhakti , Bhakti  directs one towards Lords' realisation . This is a very very Simple way to divert Ones' mind towards God...the supreme Bliss.

Serving the great souls like Saints, and great Gurus, who already realised God is, as good as
Serving God. Saints mind  resembles Devine mind, because of  its' pure nature in every aspect.
Saints and gurus think, act, and speak pure. They are selfless in every aspect of action.
Association with great souls lifts one to the heights of  spiritual acme.

Of course, GnAnadan (sharing the spiritual  knowledge ) is very pure form of  spiritual  practice.
Teaching what one knows about spirituality, Divinity is a great practice to move close to Gods'
nature, because God is all knowledge . Sharing knowledge , by teaching free of cost ,is truely
a simple spiritual practice because , it develops selfless attitude.

Nahi gnanena sadrusam pavithram iha vidyathE       ( Gita  )

Wherever is  selflessness, there is the presence of Devine.
Meditation is one of the highest form of spiritual persuits. Meditation cleans the mind.
Meditation conditions the mind and prepares it fit to realise God. It is ones' mind that perceives Gods' presence. For perceiving God, one should process pure mind, this state of  mind can be achieved only through Meditation. The Uninterepted contemplation on Lord
Is defined as Meditation. This is possible only to highly evolved souls. Though tough to practice, meditation is a sure shot method followed from ages to Self realisation.
In ancient times, meditation is called " Thapas". It is said that if anybody does Thapas
For three and a half days, continuously, without interruption , he will definetly attains
God realisation. These are very simple techniques for self realisation, but tough because, one needs absolute contemplating mind.
One thing, anybody has to mind is, any spiritual practice succeeds only when the aspirents' mind is pure and sincere. Purity is the pivotal point of any spiritual  activity.
Pure mind alone links one to the Supreme purity,
Pure mind alone  links one to the Supreme Consciousness,
Pure mind alone connects one to the All pervading Supreme Mind.
Every spiritual aspirant should think and act with pure, taintless Mind.

Simple Methods to realise Lord.

Lord Sri Krishna says,  "whichever method one practices  to realise Me, in that same method I consolidate his Faith, and help him to reach Me ". This simple secret of God realisation is mentioned in this Sloka.

Yo.  Yadha mam prapadyanthe tham thadeiva srujAmyaham
                     Mama  varthanuvarthanthe manushyaha PArdha sarvasaha.

There are many ways and methods, to realise God. Some are simple, and some a little time taking. Whatever method may one adopt, one should have total  belief, total commitment  and
pure mind to persue the goal. Lot of patience and perseverence are required in practicing thee methods. Some  nine  simple methods are prescribed in SrimadbhAgavatham, in this verse.

                  SravaNam  Keerthanam VishNoh smaraNam  padasevanam
                   Archanam. Vandanam. Dasyam sakhyamadathmanivedanam.

Hearing scriptures, Kirthana, Chaunting Vishnunamas, Serving Lords' feet, worshiping, Saluting, the Servant sentiment, the friend sentiment, self surrenderence
Are few means to realise God

SravaNam means, hearing the glories of lord with great reverence. Hearing  the great
Spiritual scriptures like Ramayana, Bhagavatha, Bhagavadgita, and other Puranas takes  ones' belief to an  exalted levels, strengthens the faith. With strengthened
Fath one never forgets Lord, even single minute. He attributes all his achievements
and failures to Lord, as if they are all His prompted actions.

Keerthanam means praising the glories, stories of Lord by singing. The Devine names and Devine  characteristics of Lord are praised through Keerthanam which fills ones' heart with the sentiment of Love towards Lord. Many singer saints like Meera bai, thulasiDas, KabeerDAs,
Nanak, Thukaram ThyAgarAjaswAmi, etc etc had God Realisation by just singing His glories.
Of course, in this present busy era, anybody has very little time to sit andread the scriptures.
For such group of people, SravaNam and Keerthanam are highly practical methods to remember  Lord Every minute.

SmaraNam is a simple practice of remembering God all the time, by Chaunting Lords' names.
Sahasranamas, sataka as., ashtottara namas of any deity exemplify the glories of  That Diety.
Hence, by remembering these names, one remains in the glance of The Diety. Not only this,
Mantras such as, " namo NArAyaNAya , Hare Rama Hare Krishna , Om Namassivaya,
are, when chaunted purifies one's mind and helps to orient towards almighty always.

Padaseva, means worshiping the Sacred Lotus feet of God. This is Idol worship.
The idol of the Diety is  considered as Lord alive and  it's' feet is worshiped by flowers and incandescent  sticks and other offerings like fruites.

Archana is another interesting method followed by many sects of to strengthen their faith.Archana means worshiping  God in a ritualistic way.  Worshiping  includes chanting along
With  actions ( kriyas ). Worshiping  ones' beloved Diety in a particular prescribed procedure
Takes him to an exalted state of mind, from where he links to the universal Mind, ie God.

Vandanam, a simplest way to link to God. By saluting before Lord, with  total surrenderence is
Enough for anybody  to bag His blessings.  The person, who salutes or bows flat before Lord,
Be holds nothing for himself. Vandana  means a selfless  surrenderence . Selflessness is the
Fundamental  characteristic required to reach God because,  God is selfless universal Self.

Dasyam is a servant attitude exhibited towards God. God takes care of  only those,  who totally  gives up everything including his Ego. Lakshmana , brother of (Lord Rama,) Hanuma, (Bhakta of Rama )followed the same methed, Dasya and succeeded in reaching God.
Those who dedicate themself to Almighty, by doing Egofree,Selflesss services are taken care by
God without failure. This servant Sentiment is very simplest way to practice.

Friend sentiment is also simple to follow to realise God. One can feel God as his friend by
Opening up all his feelings to his beloved Diety. When one hides nothing from God by confessing every thing before Him, his welfare becomes God's  responsibility.

Ananyachetaha yo mam smarathi nithyathaha  thasmaham sulabhaha  PArdha
                 Nithyaukthasya Yoginaha.

Atmanivedanam means Self surreenderance. When one surrenders his self to God, he becomes  egoless. This Egofree state of mind opens the gates of spiritual world, links to that
Supreme Self.

All above mentioned  different methods are very very simplest ways , tested , proved by many
Bhaktas.  Many religions of differnt countrie  also following these ways , and succeeding in
Realising  God.

All above mentioned methods direct  one towards the same destination , ie." God realisation."
