Among all five senses Eyes are said to be very important.
Every image visual is recorded and stored in our brain. Human brain is an amazing computer which has an unexhausting storage facility. God gifted human with Abundant Memory power.
But,one thing many of us doesn't know is,we all have one more eye in between our eyebrows, which is hidden and sealed. yogis and siddha purush use the third eye, because that is open to them by Dhyana sadana.( dhyana yoga )
The third eye is called Agninethra and Sivanethra.usually, third eye is called gnananetra'
Because when it is opened, gives Divyagnana. Divyagnanam is something beyond worldly knowledge.
When lord Sri Krishna shows his visvarupam to Arjuna,to see that universal form Lord gifts Arjuna, this Divya nethra. Why? Because ordinary eyes cannot perceive the
Huge form of Lord.
"Divyam dadamite Chakshuhu pasyame yoga myswarm"
He Arjuna! I will grant u Divya nethra which is connected to Lord Siva, says Krishna.
How to get open the Divya chakshu?
One should sit stable in padmasanam and close the eyes, concentrating the mind in Brukuti ( spot in between the eyebrows )should do Dhyanam, silently reciting Siva Manthra. When this practice is regularly done with total dedication, The third eye opens, Yogi experiences this by seeing it in Jyothi form.
Chidathma sarvadeheshu jyothirupena vyapakaha
Thath jyothihi chakshuragreshu guru nethrena drusyathe.
The chidatma which is spread in entire body in Lightform will be seen through Divyanethra. This can happen only when Mind is totally pure and still.
"" Athmadarsana mathrena jeevanmuktho na samsayaha."
Realisation of Self leads to Liberation--Jeevanmukthi.
When third eye is opened, the yogi visualises faraway places and acquires GnAnam
Beyond this world. Divyagnanam enables one to see yogis, siddha purusha, lord Eswara and many more things which ordinary eyes cannot perceive. Actually, if u start once seeing visions and extraordinary things while doing regular Meditation, that itself is ur first indication, ur third eye is being opened.
Sometimes, this third is called Gurunethram. Because, third eye can also be opened by siddha Guru, staring into the eyes of sishya,ie charging him by passing energies through eyes. This method of awakening third eye by great guru is called chakshushi deeksha. Chakshushi deeksha breaks the coverings of chakras in the body.,
Automatically Divyanethra opens.
Divyanethra helps the yogi to progress further in his Spiritual journey. Dhyani advances very fast in his Spiritual life along with Atmasakshathkara.
Third eye is one advanced stage of achievement in a yogi's long spiritual journey, which helps him to advance much more higher levels.
Spirituality and philosophy are persuits unexhausting. These two have different stages
of self upliftment. Patience, perseverence and dedication are the main requirements of
these pursuits. Mind and intellect are the reigns of the Spiritual chariot.
