Karma defines the life.

Action is the sign of Life. All living beings do some  action, for survival. In Gita, action is termed as Karma. In Karma yoga, Lord Sri Krishna proclaims Brahma as the origin of any Karma.

                     Karma Brahmodbhavam, Brahmakshara samudbhavam

Action originates from Brahma residing in every being, and Brahma originates from Imperishable.
Whatever Karma may one perform, that results to a Potential charge. These potentialities, these charges off actions are carried forth through the succeeding  births. The result of every karma, (whether good or bad,)stays in the form of Potential charge, so we should act very causciously. Bad actions result negative charge, good Actions result positive charge. All the total potentialities are stored in the heart only., the sum potential charge is divided into three stages of Karma.

Prarabda karma::  is called commonly as Destiny. Prarabda is responsible for our impulses and total personality. Prarabda karma is the riped results of actions done in previous births. Prarabda karma, decides the happyness and sorrows of the present birth, irrespective of one's discretion. One has to face, what destined.

Sanchita karma::: The totality of all potential charges, accumulated in innumerable previous births, as well as in present birth, and which are not yet ripe for fruition, stored up, is termed as Sanchita Karma.
It is this Sanchita karma, which is responsible for the good and evil promptings or impulses of present birth. One can reduce the Sanchita karma by  following certain desiplines like, Dhyana ( Meditation),different Spiritual persuites, or spiritual  rituals.

Kriyamananii::: the potential charge resulted out of the actions of Present birth, is called  Kriyamanani.
A fresh powerful Prarabda can be created by doing an exceptionally great act. It is possible.
The Kriyamanani takes many  births,to convert to the charge of Prarabda.

Thes three stages of karma, Prarabda, Sanchita and Kriyamanani are responsible for the type of birth, The Span of birth, the enjoyments of birth, the pains or pleasures of a birth. Non can escape the Prarabda. But one can correct the Sanchita by virtuous actions and Spiritual persuites.
Though, Kriyamanani is guided by Sanchita, if deliberate efforts are put, any one can change it to Prarabda.
. How far is that possible?,depends on one 's determination, and sincere persuite.

Hence, we all have to perform actions, minding these three forms of Karmas, and their  effects. Especially, the Spiritual aspirent, whose goal is God realisation , should do every action with pure mind, and with pure consciousness. Why? Because,  Purity alone cleans the Sanchita karma, Converts the Sanchita to favourable Prarabda.
Favourable prarabda gives all worldly  possessions, and all sensual enjoyments.
Unfavourable  prarabda gives worldly dissatisfactions and all grievances.
So, ultimately, it is U, who is responsible for ur Destiny, ur Sanchita or ur Kriyamanani.
Some people claim the success to their credit, and failure to Destiny. That is absolutely wrong. You were there in the previous births, the same in this present birth also.
You are the same  soul, which  forgot to enhance the Spirit in u.
Our Karmas deside  our present life, and our future births.
What u did, that u reep. What u sow, that u crop.
So,  do better actions,  get better results. This should be the slogan of any sensible person.

"Manasa vacha karmana yoginaha karma kurvanthi  sangamthyakthvathma  suddhayeth"

Actions should be done, Mentally, verbally and physically, to purify the soul. Actions should be done with detached expectations. This model of doing any action will yield positive karmaphal (results of actions) ,fecilitating enhanced life.
This is the Theory of Karma Siddanta, which designs anybody's Life.
