Why to pray God??

Why should we pray God?
Lord Srri Krishna answered this question, very clearly in Gita. For four reasons, people pray me.
Arthi (one in crisis), gignaasu (an enthusiast to discover what I am ), ardhardhi ( desiring a wish), gnani (who wants realisation )are the four kinds of people, who pray me.

Chaturvidha bhajatemam Jonah sukruthi nor junta
                   Anther  jignasu ardhardhi gnaanicha bharatharshabha
Arthi remembers God only, when he is in trouble.Soon  he comes out of crisis,he forgets God, and drowns in the worldly things. This kind of fear oriented God-fear is bussiness like
thing ;, not appreciable.

Jignasu always remains inquisitive about God, forgetting to connect with him. He whirls in the pool of questions,; What is God? How does he look? Why this Creation? How this Creation takes place? So many doubts continuously pester him distracting from the main line of linking with God.

Ardhardhi prays God to get his wish granted. After his wish is fulfilled, he forgets, who did it. Once again it is a bussiness like attitude. He keeps a price to his prayers. Ardhardhi is not aware of the fact that what all he is offering to God, is  given by God only. Once again this is not appreciable.

Gnani, who is aware of the fact that, this entire creation is god's play, and god is That whole sole commanderen supremo,.He never forgets God even single minute.; accepts God as the Supreme power, prays every minute relentlessly. Gnani prays God for Self Realisation, but not for any selfish intention.A gnani wants to be connected to God always, because he will get the Devine charge flow continuously..Link with God is not easy. One should become a pure soul, a pure mind to realise God. How is it possible?
Simply Chanting mantras, performing rituals, visiting temples won't help an aspirant to
get  God's blessings. The above said activities simply help one to direct him mind towards God. If all these activities are associated with devotion and meditation, one will surely link
To God.It is to transform to a gnani, one has to Pray God.  When one becomes dear to God, I mean, when one becomes linked to God, all godly qualities transmit from That. The prayee converts to gnani.
In Bhakti yoga "Lord Sri Krishna explains who is dear to him. Any devotee, any prayee, any bhakta who is always contented, contemplative, dedicated with his intelllect and mind to Me, is My  favourite.". That's all. Once, if you come into God's sight, you will be blessed with everything that gives eternal peace. The devotee gets " Santhi achirenadi gacchati." For this reason every one has to pray God.,

Then how to pray??
Bhagavan says in Bhakti yoga.....
MAYYEVA MANA AGHASVA MAYI BUDDHIM NIVESAYA
                             NIVASISHYATHI MAYYEVA ATHAOORDHVA NA SAMSAYAHA
"There is no doubt, u will live in Me, if u fix ur mind and intellect in Me.
Once u live in Me, your welfare is My concern".  Says Bhagvan.
So, while praying God, one should concentrate on his prayer with total dedication with
Total contemplation. Mind should not wander. Then only the bhakta connects to Lord, gets Lord's blessings.
                      "Ujjannevam sadatmanam yogi vigatha kalmashaha"
Once, connected, the self gets purified from all worldly taints. A pure soul always remains
( ujjannevam ) connected consistently to the Paramatma imagining That in it's own desired form. When a Bhakta turns to a yogi, his intellect and knowledge sharpens, transforming him to an elevated soul. This transformation of a simple devotee to a gnani ,a simple  self to an elevated pure self, is the purpose of praying God.

We all ask our parents to fulfill our wants, similarly we pray God to grant our wishes.
That is a worldly goal, but the spiritual goal is to connect to God.; to Come into  God's looks,; To become dear to God. This is what Gita suggests to be the criteria of those, who so ever Pray God.
Pray to connect to God.
Pray to realise the truth.
Pray to be blissed.
Pray to purify yourself.

Desire, the devil.

It is very natural to have some desire, because it is desire that drives a person to work.
No desire no interest in life. Desire is the fuel of anybody's life. Desire is the Force of action.
But,everybody should know, how much one should attach to the fulfilment of one's desire.
We should always remember one important thing,...desire should make your life spicy but not fussy. Why do l want this? Can I live without this? How important this desire in my life?
To what extent I should attach to this desire? Does desire dectate me or I dectate it ? Is this desire giving me trouble free happyness?
Is it truly desire or obsession ?All these questions should be clarified before one aims for a
desire. Where Fife elements (earth, water, fire wind and sky) exist, there desire arrises.
This is a doubtless concept. Non can escape the vision of desire.
Mind is the seat of desire. Hence, one has to restrict the count of desires, for this reason, one should always control the Mind.
Is your desire directing u towards Gnanamarga or Kamamarga, should be clearly introspected by the Desiree ;.Is your desire guiding u towards Knowledge or towards worldly
Whirlpool ? One has to put his Mind to all these questions.
A controlled mind guides one to wish a desire that ends in Knowledge.
A wavering mind guides one to wish desires ending in momentary physical happyness.
The earlier one elevates you, whereas  the second one deludes.
Some people desire all worldly things ( which are temporary ), some desire non worldly things .
Restriction of desires displays, how much controe one has on one's mind.

It is Human to aspire desires but devilish to crave desires.
Great Rajarshi Viswamithra, Raja Dasaradha, Brahmarshi Ravana, Sacred Seetha, even
Thrimurty Brahma Vishnu Maheswara could not escape this Maya Moha of Desire. Even
all above mentioned Mahatmas were deemed to experienced the danger of their desire,
because they are  not admissible ones. All of them faced the bitter side of their desires.
Desire turns Devil when it is negative in nature. ; But Devine when  positive in nature.
Positive when ur desire doesn't cause trouble to anybody ;.viscious desires can even destroy
the human kind, this planet too.

The greatest enemy of the beings is Desire only.  This works as a fire , burns and also as
Light, enlightens. The sences, the mind, and the intellect are said to be its'seat. Desire deludes the mind. Even greatest of greatest minds did not escape Desire delusion.
So one has to be very very causcious while desiring a desire. Entertain, and work for any desire as long as that won't destroy the knowledge and sanctity of self.

Self > intellect >mind >sences >sensory objects says the below given sloka.

" Indriyani paranyahuhu, indriyebhyaha param manaha
Manasasthu para buddhiryo buddehi paratasthu Saha"

Then how to aim for an approved desire. By controlling the intellect and mind, descriminating the good from bad, one has to wish for any desire which is trouble free.
Your desire neither trouble u nor others. Desiring any thing, keeping the welfare of people around you, is appreciable always.
Your desire should give happyness not sorrow.
Your desire should not be ur enemy leading to problems.
Your desire should be constructive  not Destructive.
Finally, your desire should be self enlightening but not self distructing.

Consequences of wars

Since ancient times, society is categorised to four important castes, considering their nature of jobs.in Bhagavadgita Gita, Bhagavan proclaimed that He has created these four Varnas.
" chaturvarnam maya krutsnam guNa karma vibhagasaha"
Brahmana, Kshatriyas, Vysya, Sudra are the four castes which constitute a society in our country. Marriages used to take place in between the people of same caste.
Inter caste marriages were beyond imagination in those days of Arjuna's era.
Social norms of marriage, family traditions, customs and culture of a perticular caste are very strictly followed by that caste.
If not followed, what happens to the society ,is explained by Arjuna, in First chapter of Gita.ie Arjuna vishal a yoga.

Arjuna was asked to kill his cousin brothers and his elders, in war Kurukshetra.
Seeing Bheeshma, Drona, Krupa and his kith and kin in the war field, he felt aghast, dropped the arrows and bow, and started narrating to Lord Sri Krishna the dare consequences of killing Families.

"Kula kshaye pranasyanthi kula dharmasya sanathanaha
Dharma Nashe kulam kruthsam a dharma bhibhavathyutha."

When a caste destruction happens, the honoured family traditions are lost, unrighteousness overtakes the whole family.

                          Adharmabhibhavath. Krishna pradushyanthi KULASThriyaha
                          Sthreeshu dushtasu Varshneya! Jaayathe varnasankaraha.
Arjuna says::::::
O Krishna! When unrighteousness prevailed, the women of the family become corrupt, and when the women r corrupt, there begins mixture of castes.
The cross castes disturb and destroy the customs , traditions  abseved from ages.
Disrespect towards traditions, direct the families to an indisciplined style of life, where no rigid binding to any norm of the society exists.; here from starts the caste system collapsing.
Social values become weak and  alterable to one's own convenience. SAsthrAs defined Vedic norms will be ignored.That means Dharma is disrespected. Unrighteous attitude overtakes the families,;where unrighteousness, there discipline dies,; social system, caste system,creed system collapses.;their ancesters are forgotten. Ancesters miss there offerings, and fall from heavens,;
Pitrudevatas( demised ancesters ) are deprived of the funeral offerings.
The long standing kula dharma, jathi dharma ( truthful traditions of caste and creed )
will  be destroyed because of this mixture of castes.
When any person of any caste dies, funeral rites are systematically performed to facilitate that Atma to reach the higher heavenly zones.  This is written in Bramhanda puraNa and other scriptures. Different ceremonies with different specified offerings  lift the demised Jeevi , to reach the higher Devine planes. This topic is explained in detail, also in Ramayana and Mahabharata.
But, when kula dharma is destroyed  due to the mixture of castes, the Pitrudevatas
will be deprived of heavens and perpetually doomed to live in hell. Here, logic is that even after death, Jeevi demised  will be connected to the related surviving Jeevies for some period of time.In this period of time, if the defined ceremonial rites are done as per SAsthrAs, demised Jeevi raises to the Devine planes, escaping from the earth's catch.  The same is emphasised by Arjuna in the below sloka.

                            Utsanna. Kuladharmanam manushyanam Janardana
                             Narake niyatham vaso bhavatheethyanusuksham

Hence,Mixing of castes and creeds should be avoided to stop the Destruction of Dharma, says Arjuna. Of course, entire Bhagavat Gita preaches about Karma and Dharma.
Deviation from defined Rightuous norms, and traditions of any caste or any creed
will damage the families and consequently society too.

As Bhagavdgita is  authentic and speaks about Dharma Rakshana , we may have to give a thought to this aspect of Kula, jathi Sankaram, and their consequences.
